Children
Learning about Nature at school. An effective resource, not only to support environmental education with children and youth of all ages, but also to help them grow in harmony with themselves and others.
MEETING OF CARE PROFESSIONS 2018, Piacenza 24 May 2018. Therapeutic storytelling workshop: “THE IMAGINED TALE, storytelling set in Nature”.
According to a recent study, children suffering from inattention and hyperactivity who spend a lot of time in Nature have less severe symptoms than those who spend more time indoors.
A game, an adventure, a projective psychological test. A tool for story-telling set in Nature. A non-pharmacological therapy.
The slow, relaxing images allowed even the two most motorically unstable children to find calm and concentration. The experience fostered socialization, the sharing of opinions and ideas, and the ability to adapt and consider changing ideas by welcoming the other.
“In the observation I caught not only a great commitment to the work they were doing, but above all a condition of extreme relaxation that led the children, who worked alternately in small groups, to remain in an almost meditative silence”.
“A course with EXPERIENCE NATURE videos with children and adults with Autism issues offers a lot of potential. It is a tool to benefit from Natural Input, without activating sensory channels such as touch and smell.”
